One of biggest questions is "What is dress code for the Pink Prom?"
Guys - If you want to wear a TUX, great!! But we want you to be 'Dressed to Impress' & recommend a suit. No jeans please.
Ladies - We want you to break out that 'Old Prom Dress', but any kind of dress will work. No jeans please.
You do not have to wear pink to get into the Pink Prom.
Twisted Pink is committed to funding clinical and translational metastatic breast cancer research. We are currently a volunteer driven organization with a mission to cure breast cancer through funding research and engaging the community to help us meet our goals.Twisted Pink was formed in June 2014, a year after founder, Caroline Johnson, was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer. After educating herself and getting support, she saw a need for more hope of survival and more treatment options for stage IV cancer patients.
Caroline Johnson, founder of Twisted Pink, had enough on her plate caring for three young children, including a son with multiple special needs. She was one month shy of her 40th birthday when she was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer in June 2013. A year of chemotherapy, radiation, surgeries and continued hormone therapy for estrogen positive breast cancer was accompanied by participating in many community awareness and education events surrounding breast cancer. After several friends were diagnosed with stage IV cancer, she decided to take action. In the US, it is estimated that only 2-3% of breast cancer research dollars is directed to stage IV research. Twisted Pink was formed in June 2014 to change these statistics. We are a 100% volunteer organization.
